Motivating Employees In The 21st Century

Drawing on David Spicer's experiences of Chairing the Judges Panel of the Yorkshire Post Business Excellence Award for Best Employer and his recent research looking at motivation, the session will include case studies of best practice from some of the best employer winners and finalists.

David will discuss the lessons that can be drawn from these finalists for other firms seeking to maximize the value in their people management practices and will debate the implications of adopting such an approach. Lessons highlight that good employment practice doesn’t need to be highly sophisticated and simple ideas with clear rationale and consistent implementation work effectively if committed to and supported by senior management
